Tender for Rawalpindi-Islamabad Ring Road Publishing Next Week

The Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiative Asad Umar told that the international tender for the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Ring Road project is ready and will be published by next week in newspapers. 

Commissioner Rawalpindi Muhammad Mehmood briefed Asad Umar regarding the project in a meeting which was held with the purpose of reviewing the progress of development work over the flagship project of the twin cities, Rawalpindi and Islamabad. 

The meeting was attended by Ali Nawaz Awan, Special Assistant to Prime Minister upon Capital Development Authority (CDA), and top officials of the planning ministry. 

Asad Umar also discovered in this meeting that the proposed length of the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Ring Road will be 64 kilometers that will be starting from Rawat, will pass through Motorway M2 and M3, while will finish at Sangjani point. 

There will be eight interchanges and six lanes over the Ring Road. Further briefing about the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Ring Road project in the meeting, Commissioner Rawalpindi informed that the alignment of the project has been finalized along with the feasibility study of the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Ring Road project. 

Moreover, Asad Umar was enlightened that 65 kilometers roadway which will go up to Sangjani had been identified too, and the payment process for the acquisition of the land is also in progress. 

Asad Umar really appreciated the work done by the Rawalpindi administration and said that this project will be too helpful in resolving traffic issues of the city.

وزیر منصوبہ بندی ، ترقی و خصوصی اقدام اسد عمر نے بتایا کہ راولپنڈی ۔اسلام آباد رنگ روڈ منصوبے کے لئے بین الاقوامی ٹینڈر تیار ہے اور آئندہ ہفتے تک اسے اخبارات میں شائع کیا جائے گا۔

کمشنر راولپنڈی محمد محمود نے اسد عمر کو اس پروجیکٹ کے بارے میں ایک میٹنگ میں بریف کیا جو جڑواں شہروں راولپنڈی اور اسلام آباد کے فلیگ شپ پروجیکٹ پر ترقیاتی کاموں کی پیشرفت کا جائزہ لینے کے مقصد سے ہوا۔

اجلاس میں کیپٹل ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی (سی ڈی اے) کے وزیر اعظم کے معاون خصوصی علی نواز اعوان ، اور وزارت منصوبہ بندی کے اعلی عہدیدار شریک ہوئے۔

اسد عمر نے اس اجلاس میں یہ بھی دریافت کیا کہ راولپنڈی ۔اسلام آباد رنگ روڈ کی مجوزہ لمبائی 64 کلومیٹر ہوگی جو راوت سے شروع ہوگی ، موٹر وے ایم 2 اور ایم 3 سے ہوگی اور سنگجانی پوائنٹ پر ختم ہوگی۔

رنگ روڈ پر آٹھ انٹر چینجز اور چھ لین ہوں گی۔ اجلاس میں راولپنڈی ۔اسلام آباد رنگ روڈ منصوبے کے بارے میں مزید بریفنگ دیتے ہوئے کمشنر راولپنڈی نے بتایا کہ راولپنڈی۔اسلام آباد رنگ روڈ منصوبے کے فزیبلٹی اسٹڈی کے ساتھ ہی منصوبے کی صف بندی کو حتمی شکل دے دی گئی ہے۔

مزید یہ کہ اسد عمر روشن خیال تھے کہ 65 کلو میٹر روڈ وے جو سنگجانی تک جائے گا اس کی بھی شناخت کرلی گئی ہے ، اور اس زمین کے حصول کے لئے ادائیگی کا عمل بھی جاری ہے۔

اسد عمر نے واقعی راولپنڈی انتظامیہ کے کاموں کو سراہا اور کہا کہ یہ منصوبہ شہر کے ٹریفک مسائل کے حل میں بہت مددگار ثابت ہوگا۔
