According to the news sources, the premier made the statements while posting a beautiful picture of Gilgit- Baltistan’s city and another picture of girls playing ice hockey there at night on his official Twitter account.

In the caption, he said, “Skardu at night & our girls playing ice hockey in Gilgit Baltistan.” He added, “Now that Skardu has an international airport, this location will, Insha’Allah, become a world winter sports destination.”

According to the details, Last month, while addressing the crowd, Prime Minister Imran Khan stated that with enhanced road connectivity and the Skardu International Airport, Gilgit-Baltistan will become a major tourist destination, ensuring the region’s economic growth.

نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق وزیراعظم نے یہ بیان اپنے آفیشل ٹوئٹر اکاؤنٹ پر گلگت بلتستان کے شہر کی ایک خوبصورت تصویر اور رات کو وہاں آئس ہاکی کھیلنے والی لڑکیوں کی ایک اور تصویر پوسٹ کرتے ہوئے دیا۔
کیپشن میں انہوں نے کہا، ’’رات کو سکردو اور ہماری لڑکیاں گلگت بلتستان میں آئس ہاکی کھیل رہی ہیں۔‘‘ ا��ہوں نے مزید کہا، "اب جب کہ اسکردو میں ایک بین الاقوامی ہوائی اڈہ ہے، یہ مقام انشاء اللہ عالمی سرمائی کھیلوں کی منزل بن جائے گا۔"
تفصیلات کے مطابق گزشتہ ماہ ہجوم سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے وزیر اعظم عمران خان نے کہا تھا کہ سڑکوں کے رابطے میں اضافہ اور اسکردو انٹرنیشنل ایئرپورٹ سے گلگت بلتستان ایک بڑا سیاحتی مقام بن جائے گا جس سے خطے کی اقتصادی ترقی یقینی ہو گی۔
