Sindh Minister for Works and Services directs for early completion of current projects

He gave the directions while chairing a meeting to review the ongoing and new schemes of the highways sector of the works and services department.

Shah directed the chief highway engineers of Hyderabad and the Sukkur region to use materials of international standards in their projects.

He added that the construction of roads had a positive impact on the economy. The works secretary briefed the meeting on the schemes and said the ongoing schemes were divided into three categories.

The first category consisted of schemes for which full allocation had been released with an amount of less than Rs50 million. There were 92 schemes in the category of which 23 had been completed.

In the second category, the schemes had an allocation of Rs50 million to Rs100 million. There were 84 schemes in that category and five of them had been completed.

In the third category, there were 35 schemes for which 33 percent of the allocated amount had been released. Of them, 12 schemes were to be completed by December 2021.

شاہ نے حیدرآباد اور سکھر ریجن کے چیف ہائی وے انجینئرز کو ہدایت کی کہ وہ اپنے پروجیکٹس میں بین الاقوامی معیار کا مواد استعمال کریں۔

انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ سڑکوں کی تعمیر معیشت پر مثبت اثرات مرتب کرتی ہے۔ سیکرٹری ورکس نے اجلاس کو سکیموں کے بارے میں بتایا اور کہا کہ جاری سکیموں کو تین زمروں میں تقسیم کیا گیا ہے۔

پہلا زمرہ ان اسکیموں پر مشتمل تھا جن کے لیے 50 ملین روپے سے کم رقم کے ساتھ مکمل الاٹمنٹ جاری کی گئی تھی۔ زمرے میں 92 اسکیمیں تھیں جن میں سے 23 مکمل ہوچکی ہیں۔

دوسری قسم میں ، اسکیموں میں 50 ملین سے 100 ملین روپے مختص تھے۔ اس زمرے میں 84 سکیمیں تھیں اور ان میں سے پانچ مکمل ہو چکی تھیں۔

تیسری قسم میں 35 اسکیمیں تھیں جن کے لیے مختص رقم کا 33 فیصد جاری کیا گیا تھا۔ ان میں سے 12 اسکیمیں دسمبر 2021 تک مکمل ہونی تھیں۔
