KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has issued notices to the Director-General of Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA), Karachi Development Authority, and other authorities in a case relating to the occupation in welfare plots in Korangi.
A 2-Member bench of Sindh High Court heard a petition against the possession of Welfare plots including parks and playgrounds in Korangi.
SHC issued notices to DG SBCA, supreme officials of KDA, and ordered them to submit their responses at the next hearing of the case.
The Lawyer Muhammad Yaseen told the court that Land Mafia is gathering public properties in Korangi Town. The court was told by the lawyer that residents of Korangi Town are now deprived of playgrounds and parks due to the activities of the land mafia in the area.
The petitioner stated that SBCA and other departments are also involved in the land snatching activities.

سندھ ہائی کورٹ کے 2 رکنی بینچ نے کورنگی میں پارک اور کھیل کے میدانوں سمیت فلاحی پلاٹوں کے قبضے کے خلاف درخواست کی سماعت کی۔
ایس ایچ سی نے کے ڈی اے کے اعلی عہدیداروں کو ڈی جی ایس بی سی اے کو نوٹس جاری کرتے ہوئے کیس کی اگلی سماعت پر اپنے جوابات پیش کرنے کا حکم دیا۔
وکیل محمد یاسین نے عدالت کو بتایا کہ لینڈ مافیا کورنگی ٹاؤن میں عوامی املاک اکٹھا کررہا ہے۔ عدالت کو وکیل کے ذریعہ بتایا گیا کہ علاقے میں لینڈ مافیا کی سرگرمیوں کی وجہ سے کورنگی ٹاؤن کے رہائشی اب کھیل کے میدانوں اور پارکوں سے محروم ہیں۔
درخواست گزار نے بتایا کہ ایس بی سی اے اور دیگر محکمے بھی زمین چھیننے کی سرگرمیوں میں ملوث ہیں۔
