Sindh government to get 250 hybrid buses next month in Karachi

The decades-old public transport problem of Karachi inching towards some sort of mitigation as Sindh Minister for Transportation Awais Shah has revealed that the first batch of prototype buses for the provincial government’s Peoples’ Bus Service project is ready to arrive in the metropolis.

According to the news sources, A Chinese company, Higher has developed 250 hybrid buses for the People’s Bus Service project in Karachi and other districts of Sindh.

The prototype buses are ready and have been successfully tested. The buses will get delivered in Karachi by next month, according to a tweet from the company.

The Sindh Mass Transit Authority stated in another post that buses for Larkana and Karachi were ready and had been tested successfully.

پروٹو ٹائپ بسیں تیار ہیں اور ان کا کامیاب تجربہ کیا گیا ہے۔ کمپنی کی جانب سے ایک ٹویٹ کے مطابق، بسیں اگلے ماہ تک کراچی میں پہنچا دی جائیں گی۔
سندھ ماس ٹرانزٹ اتھارٹی نے ایک اور مراسلہ میں کہا کہ لاڑکانہ اور کراچی کے لیے بسیں تیار ہیں اور ان کا کامیاب تجربہ کیا گیا ہے۔
