Saidpur Proposed as Site for Capital’s First Cricket Stadium

According to the news sources, the meeting was presided over by Planning Minister Asad Umar and attended by Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) Ali Nawaz Awan, CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed, Commissioner Rawalpindi Syed Gulzar Hussain Shah, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Hamza Shafqaat, CDA Member Engineering Sayed Munawar Shah and others.

The CDA shared with the participants the design of the proposed stadium which will be constructed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The CDA chairman informed the meeting that the stadium could be constructed in Saidpur.

According to the details, the meeting was given a briefing on the proposed stadium project in the Saidpur area,” while talking to the media Ali Nawaz Awan said nothing was final rather it was decided that few other sites should also be explored before finalizing one.

In the direction of PM Imran Khan, the CDA and PCB will construct the international stadium. The CDA will provide land and the PCB will construct the stadium.

On Friday last, PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja and CDA Chairman held a meeting and decided that both the organizations through a joint venture would construct the high-tech stadium.

اسلام آباد: سٹی مینیجرز نے اسلام آباد میں بنائے جانے والے پہلے کرکٹ اسٹیڈیم کے لیے مجوزہ جگہوں پر تبادلہ خیال کیا جس میں 60,000 شائقین کے بیٹھنے کی گنجائش ہوگی۔
نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق وزیر منصوبہ بندی اسد عمر کی زیر صدارت اجلاس میں وزیراعظم کے معاون خصوصی علی نواز اعوان، چیئرمین سی ڈی اے عامر علی احمد، کمشنر راولپنڈی سید گلزار حسین شاہ، ڈپٹی کمشنر اسلام آباد حمزہ شفقات, سی ڈی اے کے ممبر انجینئرنگ سید منور شاہ اور دیگر نے شرکت کی۔
سی ڈی اے نے شرکاء کے ساتھ مجوزہ اسٹیڈیم کا ڈیزائن شیئر کیا جسے پاکستان کرکٹ بورڈ (پی سی بی) تعمیر کرے گا۔ چیئرمین سی ڈی اے نے اجلاس کو بتایا کہ سٹیڈیم سید پور میں بنایا جا سکتا ہے۔
تفصیلات کے مطابق اجلاس میں سید پور کے عل��قے میں مجوزہ اسٹیڈیم منصوبے پر بریفنگ دی گئی، علی نواز اعوان نے میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ کچھ بھی حتمی نہیں بلکہ فیصلہ کیا گیا ہے کہ کسی کو حتمی شکل دینے سے قبل چند دیگر سائٹس کی بھی تلاش کی جائے۔
وزیراعظم عمران خان کی ہدایت پر سی ڈی اے اور پی سی بی انٹرنیشنل اسٹیڈیم تعمیر کریں گے۔ سی ڈی اے زمین فراہم کرے گا اور پی سی بی سٹیڈیم تعمیر کرے گا۔
گزشتہ جمعہ کو پی سی بی کے چیئرمین رمیز راجہ اور سی ڈی اے کے چیئرمین نے میٹنگ کی اور فیصلہ کیا کہ دونوں ادارے مشترکہ منصوبے کے ذریعے ہائی ٹیک اسٹیڈیم تعمیر کریں گے۔
