RDA collects Rs491 million record revenue in current fiscal year

The Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), and Land Use and Building Control (LU&BC) Wing have collected Rs491 million against the revenue target of Rs335 million set for the fiscal year 2020-21. According to the RDA spokesman, revenue amounting to Rs150 million was generated by MP&TE Directorate while LU&BC Wing collected Rs341 million during the current fiscal year.

He said that the authorities concerned with RDA made hectic efforts to generate revenue. The citizens submitted as many as 1,435 building plans for approval which is a record in the history of RDA as the department was taking strict action in accordance with the law against illegal housing schemes and illegal constructions on the directives of the RDA Director General Nadeem Ahmed Abro.

He said fines were imposed on the rules violators and cases were also lodged against illegal housing schemes and illegal construction including commercial and residential. The DG appreciated the efforts of the MP&TE Directorate and LU&BC Wing directed all the officers to work hard and take action against illegal construction and illegal housing schemes without any discrimination, he added.

میٹرو پولیٹن پلاننگ اینڈ ٹریفک انجینئرنگ (ایم پی اینڈ ٹی ای) ڈائریکٹوریٹ ، راولپنڈی ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی (آر ڈی اے) اور لینڈ اینڈ بلڈنگ کنٹرول (ایل یو اینڈ بی بی سی) ونگ نے مالی سال 2020-21 کے لئے مختص 3535 ملین روپے کے محصولات کے ہدف کے مقابلہ میں 491 ملین روپے اکٹھے کیے ہیں۔ ترجمان آر ڈی اے کے مطابق 150 ملین روپے کی آمدنی ایم پی اینڈ ٹی ای ڈائریکٹوریٹ نے حاصل کی جبکہ ایل یو اینڈ بی سی ونگ نے رواں مالی سال کے دوران 341 ملین روپے اکٹھے کیے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ آر ڈی اے سے وابستہ حکام نے محصول وصول کرنے کے لئے بھر پور کوششیں کیں۔ شہریوں نے منظوری کے لئے 1،435 عمارتوں کے منصوبے پیش کیے جو آر ڈی اے کی تاریخ میں ایک ریکارڈ ہے کیونکہ محکمہ آر ڈی اے کے ڈائریکٹر جنرل ندیم احمد ابڑو کی ہدایت پر غیر قانونی رہائش سکیموں اور غیر قانونی تعمیرات کے خلاف قانون کے مطابق سخت کارروائی کررہا ہے۔ .

انہوں نے کہا کہ قوانین کی خلاف ورزی کرنے والوں پر جرمانہ عائد کیا گیا ہے اور غیر قانونی رہائشی سکیموں اور تجارتی اور رہائشیوں سمیت غیر قانونی تعمیرات کے خلاف بھی مقدمات درج کیے گئے ہیں۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ ڈی جی نے ایم پی اینڈ ٹی ای ڈائریکٹوریٹ اور ایل یو اینڈ بی سی ونگ کی کاوشوں کی تعریف کرتے ہوئے تمام افسران کو ہدایت کی کہ وہ بلا تفریق غیر قانونی تعمیرات اور غیرقانونی ہاؤسنگ اسکیموں کے خلاف سخت محنت کریں اور کارروائی کریں۔
