Punjab`s capital wears green look ahead of Independence Day

A number of stalls have been set up in different parts of the metropolis with attractive green and white accessories since the countdown for the Independence Day celebrations started.

Display of national flags, bunting, pin badges, green and white dresses, toys, and other accessories are being seen on stalls set up at the big and small markets, main avenues, and streets of the city.

Though the COVID-19 pandemic affected the hustle and bustle; however, a good number of citizens along with their children are visiting these stalls. The preparations for the Independence Day festivity are in full swing.

A number of patriotic youngsters especially children rush to these stalls daily for buying these accessories especially flags and buntings to decorate their vehicles and houses to finalize their preparations.

Samina Pervaiz, a resident of Gulshan Ravi here told our sources at Anarkali Bazaar that her children were excited, and bought several accessories to celebrate the upcoming Independence Day with zeal and zest.

“The stalls carrying green and white-colored Jashan-i-Azadi accessories set up at different nook and corners have not only added a charm to the beauty of the metropolis but also given a message of patriotism to the citizens”, she said.

یوم آزادی کی تقریبات کے الٹی گنتی شروع ہونے کے بعد سے شہر کے مختلف حصوں میں پرکشش سبز اور سفید لوازمات کے ساتھ کئی سٹالز لگائے گئے ہیں۔

شہر کے بڑے اور چھوٹے بازاروں ، اہم راستوں اور سڑکوں پر لگائے گئے سٹالوں پر قومی پرچموں کی نمائش ، بنٹنگ ، پن بیجز ، سبز اور سفید کپڑے ، کھلونے اور دیگر لوازمات دیکھے جا رہے ہیں۔

اگرچہ COVID-19 وبائی بیماری نے ہلچل کو متاثر کیا تاہم ، شہریوں کی ایک اچھی تعداد اپنے بچوں کے ساتھ ان سٹالوں پر جا رہی ہے۔ یوم آزادی کی تقریبات کی تیاریاں زوروں پر ہیں۔

محب وطن نوجوانوں کی ایک بڑی تعداد خاص طور پر بچے ان لوازمات کو خریدنے کے لیے روزانہ ان سٹالوں پر پہنچتے ہیں خاص طور پر جھنڈے اور جھنڈیاں اپنی گاڑیوں اور گھروں کو سجانے کے لیے اپنی تیاریوں کو حتمی شکل دیتے ہیں۔

گلشن راوی کی رہائشی ثمینہ پرویز نے انارکلی بازار میں ہمارے ذرائع کو بتایا کہ اس کے بچے بہت پرجوش ہیں ، اور آنے والے یوم آزادی کو جوش و خروش سے منانے کے لیے کئی لوازمات خریدے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ مختلف جگہوں اور کونوں پر لگائے گئے سبز اور سفید رنگ کے جشن آزادی لوازمات لے جانے والے سٹالوں نے نہ صرف شہر کی خوبصورتی کو مزید بڑھایا ہے بلکہ شہریوں کو حب الوطنی کا پیغام بھی دیا ہے۔
