Punjab Health Minister reviews steps for Universal Health Insurance

According to the news sources, Secretary Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Department Ahmed Javed Qazi, Special Secretary Ajmal Bhatti, Additional Secretary Dr. Asif Tufail, Additional Secretary Dr. Salman Shahid, and other officials are present in this meeting.

While addressing the meeting minister said, "Universal health coverage will be a great gift by Prime Minister Imran Khan for the residence of Punjab. She also said that the preparations for the provision of the Sehat card are in their final stage.

Primarily, the PM shall start the distribution of cards in Lahore and Rawalpindi. From January 1, the facility shall be scaled up to entire Punjab. The increasing number of hospitals is being empaneled. All families of Sahiwal and Dera Ghazi Khan Divisions are using the facility. The government is spending Rs330 billion on the project." She added.

Balochistan chief economist: Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Secretary Imran Sikandar Baloch had a meeting with Balochistan chief economist Ghous Bakhsh Murri along with his delegation here Friday. Ahmar Khan from Health Information and Service Delivery unit (HISDU) briefed in detail about the working mechanism of the department.

اجلاس سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے وزیر نے کہا کہ یونیورسل ہیلتھ کوریج وزیر اعظم عمران خان کی جانب سے پنجاب کی رہائش گاہ کے لیے ایک عظیم تحفہ ہو گا، انہوں نے یہ بھی کہا کہ صحت کارڈ کی فراہمی کی تیاریاں آخری مراحل میں ہیں۔
بنیادی طور پر وزیراعظم لاہور اور راولپنڈی میں کارڈز کی تقسیم کا آغاز کریں گے۔ یکم جنوری سے یہ سہولت پورے پنجاب تک پھیل جائے گی۔ ہسپتالوں کی بڑھتی ہوئی تعداد کو فہرست میں شامل کیا جا رہا ہے۔ ساہیوال اور ڈیرہ غازی خان ڈویژن کے تمام خاندان اس سہولت کو استعمال کر رہے ہیں۔ حکومت اس منصوبے پر 330 ارب روپے خرچ کر رہی ہے۔"
