PM Imran Khan launches Rawalpindi Ring Road

On March 19, PM Imran Khan initiated the Rawalpindi Ring Road project. It is the most needed and highly anticipated project of the twin cities as it is supposed to manage the heavy traffic flow from Islamabad to Rawalpindi. The project has also churned out a lot of investment opportunities, for investors looking to put their money in residential and commercial projects.  

The ceremony was attended by numerous dignitaries which included, PM Imran Khan, CM Punjab Usman Buzdar, etc. Not only will the project cover several areas of the twin cities, but it will also link them to the motorway and GT road. The project bid was one by FWO, at a total cost of Rs. 22.8 billion.

With funding from the Punjab government as well as the RDA, the project is set to complete within the next two years. Added to that, around 9,000 kanals of land are in the process of being acquired by the Punjab government and RDA for the cost of Rs. 4 billion.

راولپنڈی: ایک خبر رساں ذرائع کی رپورٹ کے مطابق طویل عرصے سے منتظر راولپنڈی رنگ روڈ (آر آر آر) منصوبے کا افتتاح وزیر اعظم عمران خان نے کیا ہے۔
19 مارچ کو وزیر اعظم عمران خان نے راولپنڈی رنگ روڈ منصوبے کا آغاز کیا۔ یہ جڑواں شہروں کا سب سے ضروری اور انتہائی متوقع منصوبہ ہے کیونکہ اس سے اسلام آباد سے راولپنڈی تک ٹریفک کی بھاری روانی کا انتظام کرنا ہے۔ اس منصوبے نے سرمایہ کاری کے بہت سے مواقع پر بھی غور کیا ہے، سرمایہ کاروں کے لئے جو رہائشی اور تجارتی منصوبوں میں اپ��ا پیسہ لگانا چاہتے ہیں۔
تقریب میں متعدد معززین نے شرکت کی جن میں وزیر اعظم عمران خان، سی ایم پنجاب عثمان بزدار وغیرہ شامل تھے۔ یہ منصوبہ نہ صرف جڑواں شہروں کے متعدد علاقوں کا احاطہ کرے گا بلکہ اسے موٹر وے اور جی ٹی روڈ سے بھی منسلک کرے گا۔ منصوبے کی بولی ایف ڈبلیو او کی جانب سے ایک تھی جس پر مجموعی لاگت 22.8 ارب روپے تھی۔
پنجاب حکومت کے ساتھ ساتھ آر ڈی اے کی جانب سے فنڈنگ کے ساتھ یہ منصوبہ اگلے دو سال کے اندر مکمل ہونے والا ہے۔ اس میں مزید اضافہ کیا گیا ہے کہ پنجاب حکومت اور آر ڈی اے کی جانب سے چار ارب روپے کی لاگت سے تقریبا 9 ہزار کنال اراضی حاصل کرنے کا عمل جاری ہے۔
