Islamabad: The Ministry of Climate Change has decided to monitor the Billion Tree Tsunami Project through satellite.
The Ministry of Climate Change and Pakistan Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in this regard. The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Malik Amin Aslam has said that the SUPARCO would ensure the transparency of the project.
The Billion Tree Tsunami Project has been applauded by different countries and the World Economic Forum has inducted Pakistan as the global Champion of Nature. Due to the same project, the United Kingdom government said that Pakistan is showing global leadership in tackling climate change with its 10 Billion Tree Tsunami Project.
Besides the Billion Tree Tsunami Project, Pakistan is also planting Miyawaki style forests in different cities including Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, and more.

وزارت موسمیاتی تبدیلی اور پاکستان اسپیس اینڈ اپر فضاء ریسرچ کمیشن (سوپورکو) نے اس سلسلے میں مفاہمت کی یادداشت پر دستخط کیے ہیں۔ وزیر اعظم کے معاون خصوصی ملک امین اسلم نے کہا ہے کہ سوپورکو منصوبے کی شفافیت کو یقینی بنائے گی۔
بلین ٹری سونامی پروجیکٹ کو مختلف ممالک نے سراہا ہے اور ورلڈ اکنامک فورم نے پاکستان کو عالمی چیمپیئن آف نیچر کے طور پر شامل کیا ہے۔ اسی منصوبے کی وجہ سے ، برطانیہ کی حکومت نے کہا کہ پاکستان اپنے 10 بلین درخت سونامی منصوبے سے آب و ہوا کی تبدیلی سے نمٹنے میں عالمی سطح پر قیادت کا مظاہرہ کررہا ہے۔
بلین ٹری سونامی پروجیکٹ کے علاوہ ، پاکستان مختلف شہروں بشمول اسلام آباد ، لاہور ، کراچی ، اور متعدد میں میاواکی طرز کے جنگلات بھی لگا رہا ہے۔
