Lahore: Commissioner Overseas Pakistani Commission Punjab Pasand Khan Buledi has said that their top priority was to solve the problems of overseas Pakistanis in the shortest time possible.
Chairing a progress review meeting with the officials after assuming his charge, the Commissioner Overseas Pakistani Commission (OPC) Punjab said that the resolution of the problems faced by overseas Pakistanis in the shortest time possible is their top priority. In order to accomplish this mission, they shall introduce more technological advancements so that they could be able to address the grievances of Pakistani workers working in foreign countries more effectively and transparently.
He further mentioned that resolving the problems of overseas Pakistanis is also the top priority of the government. He said Prime Minister Pakistan Imran Khan, Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and Chief Secretary Azam Suleman Khan had given the specific directions to ensure that the right measures are taken and overseas Pakistanis are facilitated.
Briefing the commissioner about the progress, Director General OPC Naila Baqir said that the OPC resolved over 4,000 complaints in the past year retrieving properties worth PKR 6 billion including 287 acre land and vacating 9 shops and 4 houses from illegal possession.
