On October 15, the Punjab CM will formally launch the renovation plan for Katchehri Chowk

The Katchehri Chowk will now have a single underpass and a flyover according to the modified plan. The revised design of the road project has been created by consultant firm NESPAK which will be unveiled on October 15 by Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi.

The project, which is scheduled to be finished in 18 months, has been contracted to the Frontier Works Organization.

This busiest road sees more than 300,000 automobiles per day. From early in the morning until late at night. In order to assess environmental pollutants and anticipated climate change, a station for environmental and meteorological assessment will also be built near Katchehri Chowk.

The project will be completed using cutting-edge design, fresh architecture, and contemporary Chinese and European technology.

It was decided to remove the signals from this most significant Chowk due to the increasing traffic demand so that vehicles from Jhelum Road, Ammar Shaheed Chowk, the City and Cantonment, and Adiala Road may travel through without difficulty.

یہ منصوبہ جو کہ 18 ماہ میں مکمل ہونا ہے، کا معاہدہ فرنٹیئر ورکس آرگنائزیشن کو دیا گیا ہے۔
اس مصروف ترین سڑک پر روزانہ 300,000 سے زیادہ گاڑیاں چلتی ہیں۔ صبح سویرے سے رات گئے تک۔ ماحولیاتی آلودگیوں اور متوقع موسمیاتی تبدیلیوں کا اندازہ لگانے کے لیے کچہری چوک کے قریب ماحولیاتی اور موسمیاتی تشخیص کے لیے ایک اسٹیشن بھی بنایا جائے گا۔
اس منصوبے کو جدید ترین ڈیزائن، تازہ فن تعمیر، اور عصری چینی اور یورپی ٹیکنالوجی کا استعمال کرتے ہوئے مکمل کیا جائے گا۔
ٹریفک کی بڑھتی ہوئی طلب کے پیش نظر اس اہم ترین چوک سے سگنل ہٹانے کا فیصلہ کیا گیا تاکہ جہلم روڈ، عمار شہید چوک، سٹی اور کنٹونمنٹ اور اڈیالہ روڈ سے گاڑیاں بغیر کسی مشکل کے گزر سکیں۔
