Mega Gilgit Baltistan development plan to be finalized by end of March

The sources have revealed that during the final week of March, Prime Minister Imran Khan will receive a briefing about the GB development plan. Once he approves the plan, the development activities will initiative in the area.

The central government is planning to announce a huge economic package for the development of Gilgit Baltistan and for that purpose the Ministry of Planning and Development has constituted two technical working groups to finalize the integrated development plan for the region.

In the light of the recommendations of the working groups, the government will announce integrated development plan worth billions of rupees for Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).

A meeting was held chaired by the Minister for Planning & Development Asad Umar. In this meeting, the GB government presented the idea of establishment of a new international airport in GB. A new international airport in the region would increase the tourists in the area and promote tourism.

مرکزی حکومت گلگت بلتستان کی ترقی کے لئے ایک بہت بڑا معاشی پیکیج کا اعلان کرنے کی منصوبہ بندی کر رہی ہے اور اس مقصد کے لئے وزارت منصوبہ بندی و ترقی نے خطے کے لئے مربوط ترقیاتی منصوبے کو حتمی شکل دینے کے لئے دو تکنیکی ورکنگ گروپس تشکیل دیئے ہیں۔
ورکنگ گروپس کی سفارشات کی روشنی میں حکومت گلگت بلتستان (جی بی) کے لئے اربوں روپے کے مربوط ترقیاتی منصوبے کا اعلان کرے گی۔
وزیر منصوبہ بندی و ترقیات اسد عمر کی زیرصدارت ایک اجلاس ہوا۔ اس میٹنگ میں جی بی حکومت نے جی بی میں نئے بین الاقوامی ہوائی اڈے کے قیام کا نظریہ پیش کیا۔ خطے میں ایک نیا بین الاقوامی ہوائی اڈہ اس علاقے میں سیاحوں میں اضافہ اور سیاحت کو فروغ دے گا۔
