Land use conversion allowed for Rs25bn industrial project in Lahore

According to the news sources, the permission for conversion of land use was granted to the company in a recent meeting of the Lahore Development Authority’s (LDA) governing body as per rule 13 of the LDA Land Use Rules-2020, after the Lahore district administration’s design committee and the environment protection department issued no-objection certificates (NOCs) in this regard.

“The company, through its Chief Executive Officer Mr. Chen Yen, on May 22, this year had applied to the government for permission for conversion of the use of 450 Kanal agricultural land for industrial purposes for launching a mega industrial project at Mauza Pandoki (Bedian Distributary).

According to the officials, In response to the request, the government assigned the task to the respective departments to process the case under the relevant rules and regulations.  He said the LDA approved the company after receiving around an Rs31 million commercialization fee.

نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق لاہور ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی (ایل ڈی اے) کی گورننگ باڈی کے حالیہ اجلاس میں ایل ڈی اے لینڈ یوز رولز 2020 کے رول 13 کے مطابق کمپنی کو زمین کے استعمال میں تبدیلی کی اجازت دی گئی، لاہور کی ضلعی انتظامیہ کے بعد ڈیزائن کمیٹی اور محکمہ تحفظ ماحولیات نے اس سلسلے میں نو آبجیکشن سرٹیفکیٹ (این او سی) جاری کیے۔
"کمپنی نے اپنے چیف ایگزیکٹو آفیسر مسٹر چن ین کے ذریعے اس سال 22 مئی کو موضع پنڈوکی (بیدیاں) میں ایک میگا انڈسٹریل پروجیکٹ شروع کرنے کے لیے 450 کنال زرعی اراضی کو صنعتی مقاصد کے ل��ے استعمال کرنے کی اجازت کے لیے حکومت کو درخواست دی تھی۔
حکام کے مطابق درخواست کے جواب میں حکومت نے متعلقہ محکموں کو متعلقہ قواعد و ضوابط کے تحت کیس پر کارروائی کرنے کا کام سونپا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ایل ڈی اے نے تقریباً 31 ملین روپے کی کمرشلائزیشن فیس وصول کرنے کے بعد کمپنی کو منظوری دی۔
