Govt Utilizing Hydel and Tourism potential for GB development: Minister

According to the news sources, this was expressed by Mushtaq Hussain, Gilgit Baltistan’s Minister of Water and Energy, during a speech today on Pakistan News and Current Affairs Channel with Local Government Minister Haji Abdul Hameed.

He said energy projects worth millions of rupees have been completed in Gilgit Baltistan to provide uninterrupted power to the people of the GB. Mushtaq Hussain said 22 hydroelectric power plants are currently in operation in the region, 25 generators have been leased and there are no tax breaks in Gilgit Baltistan’s major cities during peak hours.

According to the details, while Speaking about the development of tourism in Gilgit-Baltistan, Mushtaq Hussain said that the maximum services are provided to tourists, including uninterrupted electricity and clean drinking water.

He further emphasized Prime Minister Imran Khan’s special interest in the development of Gilgit-Baltistan and said the federal government has approved 3,913 posts for Gilgit Baltistan.

Local government minister Haji Abdul Hameed, who took part in the program, said Gilgit Baltistan is blessed with beautiful picnic areas, including meadows, rivers, valleys, and high mountains.

He further added that the government is providing funds to develop all sectors, including tourism because there is a huge income-generating capacity in this area.

خبر رساں ذرائع کے مطابق اس بات کا اظہار گلگت بلتستان کے وزیر پانی و توانائی مشتاق حسین نے آج پاکستان نیوز اینڈ کرنٹ افیئر چینل پر وزیر بلدیات حاجی عبدالحمید کے ساتھ گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کیا۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ گلگت بلتستان کے عوام کو بلاتعطل بجلی فراہم کرنے کے لیے کروڑوں روپے کے توانائی کے منصوبے مکمل کیے گئے ہیں۔ مشتاق حسین نے کہا کہ اس وقت خطے میں 22 ہائیڈرو الیکٹرک پاور پلانٹس کام کر رہے ہیں، 25 جنریٹرز لیز پر دیئے گئے ہیں اور گلگت بلتستان کے بڑے شہروں میں اوقاتِ کار کے دوران کوئی ٹیکس چھوٹ نہیں ہے۔
تفصیلات کے مطابق گلگت بلتستان میں سیاحت کی ترقی کے حوالے سے بات کرتے ہوئے مشتاق حسین نے کہا کہ سیاحوں کو زیادہ سے زیادہ سہولیات فراہم کی جاتی ہیں جن میں بلاتعطل بجلی اور پینے کا صاف پانی شامل ہے۔
انہوں نے گلگت بلتستان کی ترقی میں وزیراعظم عمران خان کی خصوصی دلچسپی پر مزید زور دیا اور کہا کہ وفاقی حکومت نے گلگت بلتستان کے لیے 3913 آسامیوں کی منظوری دی ہے۔
پروگرام میں حصہ لینے والے وزیر بلدیات حاجی عبدالحمید نے کہا کہ گلگت بلتستان کو پکنک کے خوبصورت علاقوں سے نوازا گیا ہے جن میں گھاس کے میدان، دریا، وادیاں اور اونچے پہاڑ شامل ہیں۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ حکومت سیاحت سمیت تمام شعبوں کی ترقی کے لیے فنڈز فراہم کر رہی ہے کیونکہ اس علاقے میں آمدنی پیدا کرنے کی بہت بڑی صلاحیت موجود ہے۔
