Dr Yasmin Rashid reviews cleanliness situation in Punjab

Punjab Minister for school education Murad Raas, Provincial Minister Mian Mehmood ur Rasheed, Senator Ejaz Chaudhry, Provincial Minister Chaudhry Zaheer, Secretary SH&ME Dr. Ahmed Javed Qazi, Deputy Commissioner Lahore, Secretary Cooperative, Special Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Saleha Saeed, and representatives of other departments were present in the meeting.

The health minister reviewed the situation of cleanliness and analyzed the latest data regarding dengue in the province. The officials of the two health departments, Lahore Waste Management Company, Lahore Development Authority (LDA), and Parks Horticulture Authority shared situational updates from their respective departments.

She said, "It is extremely important for all stakeholders to sit together and coordinate and inform each other about dengue situation", adding that "Our health department is working round the clock to control and treat dengue".

Dr. Yasmin Rashid said that Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar was personally monitoring the situation in the province. During the meeting, the LDA was asked to remove garbage and waste from different sites.

She said, "We can get rid of dengue by ensuring proper cleanliness of provincial capital", adding that a report on cleanliness would be presented to Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar soon.

The next meeting would be called within a week, it was learned by our reliable sources.

لاہور: وزیر صحت پنجاب ڈاکٹر یاسمین راشد نے وزیراعلیٰ سیکرٹریٹ میں اجلاس میں صوبے میں صفائی کی سرگرمیوں کا جائزہ لیا۔

اس موقع پر پنجاب کے وزیر سکول ایجوکیشن مراد راس، صوبائی وزیر میاں محمود الرشید، سینیٹر اعجاز چوہدری، صوبائی وزیر چوہدری ظہیر، سیکرٹری ایس ایچ اینڈ ایم ای ڈاکٹر احمد جاوید قاضی، ڈپٹی کمشنر لاہور، سیکرٹری کوآپریٹو، سپیشل سیکرٹری پرائمری اینڈ سیکنڈری ہیلتھ کئیر ڈیپارٹمنٹ صالحہ سعید اور محکمہ صحت کے نمائندوں نے شرکت کی۔ اجلاس میں دیگر محکموں کے افسران بھی موجود تھے۔

وزیر صحت نے صوبے میں صفائی کی صورتحال کا جائزہ لیا اور ڈینگی کے حوالے سے تازہ ترین ڈیٹا کا تجزیہ کیا۔ صحت کے دو محکموں لاہور ویسٹ مینجمنٹ کمپنی، لاہور ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی (ایل ڈی اے) اور پارکس ہارٹیکلچر اتھارٹی کے حکام نے اپنے اپنے محکموں سے حالات کی تازہ ترین معلومات شیئر کیں۔

انہوں نے کہا، "تمام اسٹیک ہولڈرز کے لیے ایک ساتھ بیٹھنا اور ہم آہنگی پیدا کرنا اور ایک دوسرے کو ڈینگی کی صورتحال سے آگاہ کرنا انتہائی ضروری ہے"، انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ "ہمارا محکمہ صحت ڈینگی پر قابو پانے اور علاج کرنے کے لیے دن رات کام کر رہا ہے"۔

ڈاکٹر یاسمین راشد نے کہا کہ وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب سردار عثمان بزدار صوبے کی صورتحال کی خود نگرانی کر رہے ہیں۔ اجلاس کے دوران ایل ڈی اے کو مختلف مقامات سے کچرا اور فضلہ ہٹانے کا کہا گیا۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم صوبائی دارالحکومت کی مناسب صفائی کو یقینی بنا کر ڈینگی سے نجات حاصل کر سکتے ہیں، انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ صفائی سے متعلق رپورٹ جلد وزیر اعلیٰ عثمان بزدار کو پیش کی جائے گی۔

باوثوق ذرائع سے معلوم ہوا ہے کہ اگلی میٹنگ ایک ہفتے میں بلائی جائے گی۔
