Christian community demands quota in Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme

The community`s leaders claimed that as most of their community members are employees of the government hence the installments can be deducted from their salaries once they become part of the housing scheme.

Furthermore, they put up their demand for the jobs in the law enforcement agencies over quota basis, also their 10 percent quota in government jobs.

They also put light on the highhandedness against young people of minority groups by the police and demanded from Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid as well as Islamabad IG Qazi Jameelur Rehman for taking notice of the problem.

According to them, their community is the prior target of police who harass them brutally. They indulge them in false cases that take years to prove them innocent. Hence, they also demanded the release of those innocent youngsters and the cancelation of the cases which are put up against them.

They said that minorities also have their share of sacrifices in the Pakistan movement and are always ready to save the country. They are always in support of the armed forces of Pakistan.

راولپنڈی: دارالحکومت اسلام آباد کی مسیحی برادری اور اس کے ہمسایہ جڑواں شہر راولپنڈی نے وزیر اعظم کی نیا پاکستان ہاؤسنگ اسکیم میں اپنے کوٹے کا مطالبہ کیا۔

برادری کے رہنماؤں نے دعوی کیا کہ چونکہ ان کی کمیونٹی کے بیشتر ممبر حکومت کے ملازم ہیں لہذا رہائشی سکیم کا حصہ بن جانے کے بعد ان کی تنخواہوں سے اقساط میں کٹوتی کی جاسکتی ہے۔

مزید برآں ، انہوں نے قانون نافذ کرنے والے اداروں میں ملازمتوں کے لئے کوٹہ کی بنیاد پر مطالبہ کیا ، اور سرکاری ملا��متوں میں ان کا 10 فیصد کوٹہ بھی۔

انہوں نے پولیس کے ذریعہ اقلیتی گروپوں کے نوجوانوں کے خلاف سربلندی پر بھی روشنی ڈالی اور وزیر داخلہ شیخ رشید نیز اسلام آباد کے آئی جی قاضی جمیل الرحمن سے مسئلہ کا نوٹس لینے کا مطالبہ کیا۔

ان کے بقول ، ان کی برادری پولیس کا اولین ہدف ہے جو انہیں بے دردی سے ہراساں کرتی ہے۔ وہ ان کو ایسے جھوٹے مقدمات میں ملوث کرتے ہیں جو انہیں بے قصور ثابت کرنے میں برسوں لگتے ہیں۔ لہذا ، انہوں نے ان بے گناہ نوجوانوں کی رہائی اور ان کیسوں کو منسوخ کرنے کا مطالبہ بھی کیا جو ان کے خلاف لگائے گئے ہیں۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ تحریک پاکستان میں اقلیتوں کی بھی قربانیوں میں ان کا حصہ ہے اور وہ ملک کو بچانے کے لئے ہمیشہ تیار ہیں۔ وہ ہمیشہ افواج پاکستان کی حمایت میں ہیں۔
