CDA to hire consultant for 10th Avenue Project

The 9Km long avenue will start from I.J.P road near Khayabaan stop and culminate at the junction of Khaban-e-Iqbal, which is also known as Margalla Road.

A CDA officer stated that the technical bids will be opened on Wednesday and after a few weeks of financial bids will also be opened to award the contract to a consultant for carrying out a feasibility study, design, and PC-I. the consultant will complete the official duties in the time of 6 months approximately.

The project will be implemented with the help of collected funds by the federal government which has already earmarked Rs. 1 billion under the Public Sector Development Programme 2020-21 (PSDP).

The CDA official said, “ constructed the avenue will not only help reduce traffic load on I.J.P. Road and Ninth Avenue but will also provide an alternative route to residents of I-10, I-11 and those living in adjoining areas of Rawalpindi to reach Islamabad.”

According to the Islamabad master plan, the city is supposed to have a major road after every sector to divide it with the next one like 7th Avenue, which divides G6 and G-7.

اس منصوبے کو وفاقی حکومت کے ذریعہ جمع شدہ فنڈز کی مدد سے نافذ کیا جائے گا جس کے لئے پہلے ہی پچاس ارب روپے رکھے گئے ہیں۔

سی ڈی اے عہدیدار نے کہا ، "پنڈال تعمیر ہونے سے نہ صرف آئی جے پی پر ٹریفک کا بوجھ کم کرنے میں مدد ملے گی۔ روڈ اور نواں ایونیو کے علاوہ ، آئی ٹن اور آئی الیون کے رہائشیوں اور راولپنڈی کے ملحقہ علاقوں میں رہنے والوں کو اسلام آباد پہنچنے کے لئے متبادل راستہ بھی فراہم کرے گا۔

اسلام آباد ماسٹر پلان کے مطابق ، سمجھا جاتا ہے کہ اس شہر کو ہر سیکٹر کے بعد ایک اگلی سیویں ایوینیو کی طرح تقسیم کرنا ہے ، جو جی سکس اور جی سیون کو تقسیم کرتا ہے۔
