About Rs 50b state land reclaimed: Raja Basharat

Law and Cooperatives Minister Raja Basharat have said that as per the directive of Prime Minister Imran, the Cooperatives Department should complete the process of recovering the state lands at the earliest and immediate steps should be taken for transparent auction of dispute free government lands.

He was addressing a meeting at the Civil Secretariat here on Thursday co-chaired by Minister for Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal Syed Yawar Bukhari. The meeting reviewed the performance of the Law Department, Cooperatives Department, and Social Welfare Department.

Raja Basharat said that after he took over the charge of Cooperatives minister, the state land worth more than Rs50 billion was evacuated by the Punjab Liquidation Board, and the campaign against the illegal occupants with the help of the police was still going on vigorously.

He urged the participating officers that all departments should improve the quality of public services as per the vision of Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.

Earlier in the briefing, the ministers were informed that 76 laws have been enacted so far while 42 bills were in the process of approval. The meeting was informed that 496 rules notifications and 150 MoUs were also ratified.

وزیر قانون و کوآپریٹو راجہ بشارت نے کہا ہے کہ وزیر اعظم عمران کی ہدایت کے مطابق محکمہ کوآپریٹوز جلد از جلد ریاستی زمینوں کی وصولی کا عمل مکمل کریں اور تنازعات سے پاک سرکاری زمینوں کی شفاف نیلامی کے لیے فوری اقدامات کیے جائیں۔

وہ جمعرات کو یہاں سول سیکرٹریٹ میں وزیر سماجی بہبود اور بیت المال سید یاور بخاری کی زیر صدارت اجلاس سے خطاب کر رہے تھے۔ اجلاس میں محکمہ قانون ، محکمہ کوآپریٹو اور محکمہ سماجی بہبود کی کارکردگی کا جائزہ لیا گیا۔

راجہ بشارت نے کہا کہ وزیر کوآپریٹوز کا چارج سنبھالنے کے بعد ، پنجاب لیکویڈیشن بورڈ نے 50 ارب روپے سے زائد مالیت کی سرکاری اراضی کو خالی کرا لیا اور پولیس کی مدد سے غیر قانونی قابضین کے خلاف مہم اب بھی زور و شور سے جاری ہے۔

انہوں نے شرکت کرنے والے افسران پر زور دیا کہ تمام محکمے وزیراعلیٰ عثمان بزدار کے وژن کے مطابق عوامی خدمات کے معیار کو بہتر بنائیں۔

قبل ازیں بریفنگ میں وزراء کو بتایا گیا کہ اب تک 76 قوانین بنائے گئے ہیں جبکہ 42 بل منظوری کے مراحل میں ہیں۔ اجلاس کو بتایا گیا کہ 496 رولز نوٹیفیکیشن اور 150 ایم او یوز کی بھی توثیق کی گئی۔
