11 illegal Shops Shuttered Down in Rawalpindi

As per an RDA spokesperson, the civic body is fighting against the illegal building and land mafia in Rawalpindi. He said that Ghazni Market has three shops, City Saddar Road has three shops, and Chakri Road has five shops that are sealed.

Within the areas which fall under RDA in Rawalpindi, RDA had been speedily carrying out operations against unauthorized commercial-cum-residential construction points such as stores, plazas, schools, and other unlawful land use intrusion.

The operation was conducted by the RDA workers in collaboration with the Rawalpindi police. In violation of the Punjab Development of Cities Act, 1976, and the RDA Construction and Zoning Regulations, 2020, the owners of these lands constructed unlawful commercial buildings without seeking No-Objection Certificates.

He said that the Punjab government had directed the RDA to take strict action against intrusion, illegal constructions, and commercial activities without any further thought. He further said that the property owners had illegally done construction work in numerous regions without the authority’s approval of the layout plan.

The RDA guided people to take advice from the civic agency before getting involved in such schemes as later on, the civic agency will not be responsible for any damage.

آر ڈی اے کے ترجمان کے مطابق ، شہری ادارہ راولپنڈی میں غیر قانونی بلڈنگ اور لینڈ مافیا کے خلاف لڑ رہی ہے۔ انہوں نے بتایا کہ غزنی مارکیٹ میں تین دکانیں ہیں ، سٹی صدر روڈ کی تین دکانیں ہیں ، اور چکری روڈ میں پانچ دکانیں ہیں جو سیل ہیں۔

راولپنڈی میں آر ڈی اے کے تحت آنے والے علاقوں میں ، آر ڈی اے غیر مجاز تجارتی کم رہائشی تعمیراتی مقامات جیسے اسٹورز ، پلازے ، اسکولوں اور دیگر غیر قانونی طور پر زمین کے استعمال میں دخل اندازی کے خلاف تیزی سے کاروائیاں کر رہا ہے۔

آر ڈی اے نے لوگوں کو ہدایت کی کہ وہ اس طرح کی اسکیموں میں شامل ہونے سے پہلے شہری ایجنسی سے صلاح لیں ، بعد میں شہری ایجنسی کسی بھی طرح کے نقصان کا ذمہ دار نہیں ہوگی۔
