RDA Meeting on Urban development projects for Raja Bazaar

The major planning for the development of Rawalpindi’s Raja Bazaar is to highlight Rawalpindi’s culture and heritage. This project will improve living conditions in Raja Bazaar and traffic system, increase the number of visitors, Urban regeneration in Sarafa Bazaar ad Bhabra Bazaar, Conservation of Sujan Singh Haveli, and improvement in the condition of streets.

Not just this but promoting sustainable urban mobility in historic Rawalpindi Bazaar, resilience strategy for Rawalpindi and livelihood opportunities through providing employment and business opportunities will be done through this development project.

Another major concern in Raja Bazaar is the traffic flow and it was stated by Tariq Mehmood that this project will majorly focus on regulating traffic flow in the area. Tariq asked the WAPDA authorities to submit an estimation of the project relating to the induction of electric wires in a pipeline. It was decided to launch the Sarafa Bazaar and Sujan Singh Haveli projects by February 2021. 

چیئرمین راولپنڈی ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی (آر ڈی اے) طارق محمود مرتضیٰ نے پیر کو ایک اجلاس کے دوران راولپنڈی کے تاریخی بازار "راجہ بازار" کے شہری منصوبوں پر تبادلہ خیال کیا۔

راولپنڈی کے راجہ بازار کی ترقی کے لئے اہم منصوبہ بندی راولپنڈی کی ثقافت اور ورثہ کو اجاگر کرنا ہے۔ اس منصوبے سے راجہ بازار اور ٹریفک نظام میں رہائشی حالات بہتر ہوں گے ، زائرین کی تعداد میں اضافہ ہوگا ، صرافہ بازار اشتہار بھابرا بازار میں شہری پنرجنریشن ، سوجن سنگھ حویلی کا تحفظ اور گلیوں کی حالت میں بہتری آئے گی۔

نہ صرف یہ بلکہ تاریخی راولپنڈی بازار میں پائیدار شہری نقل و حرکت کو فروغ دینا ، راولپنڈی کے لئے لچکدارانہ حکمت عملی اور روزگار اور کاروبار کے مواقع فراہم کرنے کے ذریعہ معاش کے مواقع پیدا کیے جائیں گے۔

راجہ بازار میں ایک اور بڑی پریشانی ٹریفک کی روانی ہے اور طارق محمود نے کہا ہے کہ اس منصوبے میں بڑی حد تک اس علاقے میں ٹریفک کی روانی کو منظم کرنے پر توجہ دی جائے گی۔ طارق نے واپڈا حکام سے بجلی کی تاروں کو پائپ لائن میں شامل کرنے سے متعلق منصوبے کا تخمینہ پیش کرنے کو کہا۔ صرافہ بازار اور سوجن سنگھ حویلی منصوبوں کو فروری 2021 تک شروع کرنے کا فیصلہ کیا گیا۔
