Lahore: Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) to improve the public service delivery and take the necessary measures to encourage the construction industry in the city.
According to a press release, PM Khan in a meeting with LDA Vice Chairman S.M. Imran said, “I am giving you some tasks with a direction to improve public service delivery and promote the construction industry so as to create more and more jobs for the people in Lahore.”
He also directed the VC to expedite the work ahead of launching the River Ravi Urban Development Project and remove hurdles in the way of initiating the underground water level rising and wastewater treatment project. The PM asked the VC to take effective steps to conserve water for future generations.
The VC also briefed the PM about LDA’s one window cell operations, land-use rules, Ravi, and other matters. He also requested the PM to order sparing 700 Kanal of forest land along with the Ravi for developing forest and asked him to order the National Highways Authority to construct three overhead bridges across the Ravi.
