PIEDMC approves Rs3 billion for six industrial uplift projects in Punjab

Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company (PIEDMC) Monday approved the release of Rs3 billion for the six development projects of the industrial estates of the province. The approval was given in the 151st meeting of the Board of Directors of PIEDMC presided over by the PIEDMC Chairman Syed Nabil Hashmi.

According to the documents, Rs one billion are approved for the civil works of Quaid-e-Azam Business Park, Rs1.015 billion for the development works of Bahawalpur Industrial Zone, Rs50 million for a feasibility study of Sialkot Industrial Zone, Rs450 million for the construction of state-of-the-art auto technology park at Quaid-e-Azam Business Park, Rs100 million to provide bioequivalence facility in PDTRC Sundar Industrial Estate and Rs250 million are approved for the construction of 133 KV  grid station in Bhalwal Industrial Zone.

The meeting also approved the launch of training and internship programs for university students, provision of security services in industrial zones, exemption of five percent service charges on the return of plots in Rahimyar Khan, Bhalwal, and Vehari Industrial Zones, due to the restrictions of Special Economic Zones. The meeting also approved the proceedings of the 150th board meeting.

Addressing the meeting, Nabil Hashmi said that on the directions of Minister for Industries and Commerce Mian Aslam Iqbal, PIEDMC was facilitating business through one window operations in its managed industrial zones.

The ease of Doing Business Index in these zones is one of the best in Pakistan and that is why industrialists are giving preference to PIEDMC-managed zones for their business.

پنجاب انڈسٹریل اسٹیٹ ڈویلپمنٹ اینڈ مینجمنٹ کمپنی (پی آئی ڈی ایم سی) نے صوبے کی صنعتی جائیدادوں کے 6 ترقیاتی منصوبوں کے لیے 3 ارب روپے جاری کرنے کی منظوری دے دی۔ پی آئی ای ڈی ایم سی کے چیئرمین سید نبیل ہاشمی کی صدارت میں پی آئی ڈی ایم سی کے بورڈ آف ڈائریکٹرز کے 151 ویں اجلاس میں منظوری دی گئی۔

دستاویزات کے مطابق قائداعظم بزنس پارک کے سول ورکس کے لیے ایک ارب روپے ، بہاولپور انڈسٹریل زون کے ترقیاتی کاموں کے لیے 1.015 ارب روپے ، سیالکوٹ انڈسٹریل زون کے فزیبلٹی سٹڈی کے لیے 50 ملین روپے ، 450 ملین روپے منظور کیے گئے ہیں۔ قائداعظم بزنس پارک میں جدید ترین آٹو ٹیکنالوجی پارک کی تعمیر ، پی ڈی ٹی آر سی سندر انڈسٹریل اسٹیٹ میں بائیو مساوات کی سہولت فراہم کرنے کے لیے 100 ملین روپے اور بھلوال انڈسٹریل زون میں 133 KV گرڈ اسٹیشن کی تعمیر کے لیے 250 ملین روپے منظور کیے گئے ہیں۔ .

اجلاس میں یونیورسٹی کے طلباء کے لیے ٹریننگ اور انٹرن شپ پروگرام شروع کرنے ، انڈسٹریل زونز میں سیکورٹی سروسز کی فراہمی ، رحیم یار خان ، بھلوال اور وہاڑی انڈسٹریل زونز میں پلاٹوں کی واپسی پر پانچ فیصد سروس چارجز کی چھوٹ کی بھی منظوری دی گئی۔ زونز اجلاس نے بورڈ کے 150 ویں اجلاس کی کارروائی کی بھی منظوری دی۔

اجلاس سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے نبیل ہاشمی نے کہا کہ وزیر صنعت و تجارت میاں اسلم اقبال کی ہدایات پر پی آئی ای ڈی ایم سی اپنے زیر انتظام صنعتی زونوں میں ون ونڈو آپریشن کے ذریعے کاروبار کی سہولت فراہم کر رہی ہے۔

ان زونز میں کاروبار کرنے میں آسانی انڈیکس پاکستان میں بہترین ہے اور یہی وجہ ہے کہ صنعتکار اپنے کاروبار کے لیے PIEDMC کے زیر انتظام زونز کو ترجیح دے رہے ہیں۔
