Lahore to get 35,000 subsidized apartments: CM Buzdar

He said this during a meeting with Minister of State Muhammad Shabbir Ali Qureshi, who met him at his office to discuss matters of mutual interest. The chief minister said construction of 4,000 apartments was being started in the first phase, adding that business-friendly reforms in the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) had yielded positive results.

The amendments to the LDA building and zoning regulations would encourage the construction of high-rise buildings to attract huge investment while creating job opportunities, he added.

Meanwhile, the approval of buildings’ maps was now granted in 30 days while the government was following the policy of composite development in backward, and remote areas like Kot Addu, added the CM.

Shabbir Qureshi appreciated the balanced development vision of the Punjab government, adding that the approach was visible in the province. Provincial Housing Minister Asad Khokhar was also present.

Moreover, CM Buzdar has also ordered for devising a foolproof mechanism for continuous monitoring and protection of the Auqaf lands and properties. He was chairing a meeting at Punjab Institute of Quran and Seerat Studies. Chairman P&D, secretary information, and others were also present.

The CM said that an independent monitoring unit should be set up to protect the Auqaf properties. He asked the Auqaf department to make the best use of its resources and the Quran and Ulema boards should be up and running.

Similarly, rehabilitation of the Auqaf managed shrines should be completed without delay, and the facilities of research centers and almonries be provided to the visitants, he said. The historically important buildings of shrines would be revamped in collaboration with the Walled City Authority.

لاہور: وزیراعلیٰ بزدار نے کہا کہ لوگوں کو چھت فراہم کرنے کا وعدہ پورا کیا جائے گا کیونکہ لاہور میں 35 ہزار تک سبسڈی والے اپارٹمنٹس تعمیر کیے جائیں گے۔

انہوں نے یہ بات وزیر مملکت محمد شبیر علی قریشی سے ملاقات کے دوران کہی جنہوں نے ان سے ان کے دفتر میں ملاقات کی تاکہ باہمی دلچسپی کے امور پر تبادلہ خیال کیا جا سکے۔ وزیراعلیٰ نے کہا کہ پہلے مرحلے میں 4000 اپارٹمنٹس کی تعمیر شروع کی جا رہی ہے ، انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ لاہور ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی (ایل ڈی اے) میں کاروباری دوستانہ اصلاحات کے مثبت نتائج برآمد ہوئے ہیں۔

انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ ایل ڈی اے بلڈنگ اور زوننگ ریگولیشنز میں ترامیم سے اونچی عمارتوں کی تعمیر کی حوصلہ افزائی ہوگی تاکہ روزگار کے مواقع پیدا ہوتے ہوئے بھاری سرمایہ کاری کو راغب کیا جا سکے۔

دریں اثنا ، عمارتوں کے نقشوں کی منظوری اب 30 دنوں میں دی گئی جبکہ حکومت پسماندہ اور کوٹ ادو جیسے دور دراز علاقوں میں جامع ترقی کی پالیسی پر عمل پیرا ہے۔

شبیر قریشی نے پنجاب حکومت کے متوازن ترقیاتی وژن کو سراہتے ہوئے مزید کہا کہ یہ نقطہ نظر صوبے میں نظر آرہا ہے۔ صوبائی وزیر ہاؤسنگ اسد کھوکھر بھی موجود تھے۔

مزید یہ کہ وزیراعلیٰ بزدار نے اوقاف کی زمینوں اور جائیدادوں کی مسلسل نگرانی اور تحفظ کے لیے ایک فول پروف میکانزم وضع کرنے کا بھی حکم دیا ہے۔ وہ پنجاب انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف قرآن و سیرت سٹڈیز میں ایک اجلاس کی صدارت کر رہے تھے۔ چیئرمین پی اینڈ ڈی ، سیکرٹری اطلاعات اور دیگر بھی موجود تھے۔

وزیراعلیٰ نے کہا کہ اوقاف پراپرٹیز کی حفاظت کے لیے ایک آزاد مانیٹرنگ یونٹ قائم کیا جائے۔ انہوں نے محکمہ اوقاف سے کہا کہ وہ اپنے وسائل کا بہترین استعمال کرے اور قرآن اور علماء بورڈز کو کام کرنا چاہیے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ اسی طرح اوقاف کے زیر انتظام مزارات کی بحالی بغیر کسی تاخیر کے مکمل کی جائے اور زائرین کو تحقیقی مراکز اور المونریز کی سہولیات فراہم کی جائیں۔ والڈ سٹی اتھارٹی کے تعاون سے مزارات کی تاریخی اہم عمارتوں کی تجدید کی جائے گی۔
