Chinese Yunnan province assists Pakistan to boost wheat production

According to the news sources, Luo Yanjie, who is the head of the International Cooperation Division at China’s Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences (YAAS) said that this year the production of wheat in Pakistan is expected to rise due to the cooperation between Pakistan and China.

According to the details, Luo Yanjie, Head of YAAS International Cooperation Division said that Yunnan and Pakistan have similarities in climate, wheat variety characteristics, cultivation conditions, while confronted with shared challenges including stripe rust, drought, high temperature, etc. Therefore, both wheat varieties and technologies can be directly applied to each other.

Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences (YAAS) and Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) started cooperation in 2014. They have been closely cooperating in food crop, cash crop, plant protection, biotechnology, and socio-economic development for more than seven years

خبر رساں ذرائع کے مطابق چین کی یونان اکیڈمی آف ایگریکلچرل سائنسز (واۓ اے اے ایس) میں بین الاقوامی تعاون ڈویژن کے سربراہ لوو یانجی نے کہا کہ پاکستان اور چین کے درمیان تعاون کی وجہ سے اس سال پاکستان میں گندم کی پیداوار میں اضافہ متوقع ہے۔ چین
تفصیلات کے مطابق (واۓ اے اے ایس) انٹرنیشنل کوآپریشن ڈویژن کے سربراہ (لو یانجی) نے کہا کہ یونان اور پاکستان آب و ہوا، گندم کی اقسام کی خصوصیات، کاشت کے حالات میں مماثلت رکھتے ہیں جبکہ مشترکہ چیلنجوں کا سامنا ہے جن میں پٹی زنگ، خشک سالی، زیادہ درجہ حرارت وغیرہ شامل ہیں۔ گندم کی اقسام اور ٹیکنالوجیز کو براہ راست ایک دوسرے پر لاگو کیا جا سکتا ہے۔
یونان اکیڈمی آف ایگریکلچرل سائنسز (واۓ اے اے ایس) اور پاکستان ایگریکلچرل ریسرچ کونسل (پی اے آر سی) نے 2014 میں تعاون شروع کیا۔ وہ سات سال سے زائد عرصے سے خوراک کی فصل، نقد فصل، پودوں کے تحفظ، بائیو ٹیکنالوجی، اور سماجی و اقتصادی ترقی میں قریبی تعاون کر رہے ہیں۔
